Zhang Ziyi’s Hairstylist is David Gan, the Illiterate Blogger 颜天发

Ever wondered how Zhang Ziyi always look so immaculate when she appears in public? Well lots of credit goes to her celebrity hairstylist David Gan, 颜天发. Who is David Gan? He is an extremely talented Malaysian-borned hairstylist who later became a Singaporean citizen. Due to his limited education, David Gan is actually illiterate, i.e. he can’t read nor write. However he has a blog! So how did he do it? Well according to a newspaper article, David Gan hired 3 writers to help him pen his personal thoughts in his blog. It makes for a pretty interesting read but don’t expect celebrity scandals exposed on his blog, since he is good friends with most of his celebrity clients-friends. I think it is not right to expect special treatment when your think you are a VIP or celeb. The staff manning the store are also fellow humans whom might have some programmes, such as going home for their family or meet some friends of their that they might had arranged earlier. How would you feel when your girlfriend, wife or boy friend, husband or father or mother tell you that they cannot meet you or fetch the kid because there are VIP who insist that the door open for them to shop , even after business hours? As Vip or celeb they, themselves should have some respect for others as some of them come from humble beginning, people like David Gan should understand the hardship of these workers or front line staffs. They should show grace and respect for some regulations instead of expecting special treatment and make noises when other dont bow to their whims. I just wonder what will they do when they went to the bank and which closed exactly on the dot.

Or when the plane have to fly. Do they hold the plane back for them?
– As for extremely talented? I had my reservation when he give Ai Yo Yo a full blown hair style years ago.
