Evangeline Tay Su Ann is a pretty 21 years old young lady who’s future looked bright until her recent brush with the law.

While Evangeline Tay was driving along Lornie Road in 2008, she had beaten the red lights. Instead of owning up to the traffic offence, she allegedly decided to pay a property agent by the name of Leung Man Kwan S$1,000 to take the rap for her. It was reported that the bribe was given to Leung through an ex-cop Kelvin Choo Yew Beng.

For this, Evangeline was charged with preventing the course of justice. If she is convicted, she faces a jail term of up to seven years and fine on conviction.

In January 2010, Evangeline was fined S$1,900 and also banned from driving a vehicle for 12 months for various traffic offences committed along Lornie Road on 22 January 2008.

Leung is currently serving her 3-month jail sentence while Kelvin’s case is yet to be heard.
