Good news for Singapore’s smartphone lovers who are also Google fans. The new Google-branded smartphone, the Nexus One, powered by their proprietary Android OS, will be available in Singapore. Singapore is one of the 4 places in the world where the Nexus One will be available initially. The other 3 countries are the US (home country of Google), UK and Hong Kong.

In the US, the Nexus One is initially to be sold exclusively through Google’s very first US web store. Buying one online immediately will set you back by about US$570, excluding accessories and international shipping charges.

The Google-branded Nexus One is sold by Google but contract manufactured by its exclusive partner, HTC, a Taiwan company. It has been positioned as both an iPhone killer and the best Android phone to be launched to-date.

So do you plan to get one?
