In Singapore, one of the top news item recently has been the discussion on how to cater for sufficient affordable public housing, otherwise known as HDB flats, for Singaporeans. Not surprising, since many people have been complaining in online forums about the long wait for new flats, high COV (Cash Over Valuation) for resale flats, insufficient new flats, insufficient affordable new flats at good (near town) locations and how Permanent Residents (PRs) are contributing to the supply squeeze.
