Jack Neo’s newest Singapore-based movie “Being Human” (aka 做人) is now showing in most movie theatres across Singapore. Unfortunately, or fortunately, news of Jack Neo’s 2-year relationship with his 22 years old part-time model mistress, Wendy Chong came to light recently as well.

Unfortunately for Jack Neo, there are some people on the Internet who thinks that this whole “Jack Neo Cheating on Wife incident” is part of an elaborate publicity stunt by his company to promote the new movie. If such allegations are true, this would be quite refreshing for the Singapore’s media industry as most of the time, Singaporean celebrities and artistes steer clear of such controversial marketing campaigns. Personally, I have more faith in Jack Neo than most other people. Though I don’t think guys should date someone who is so much younger, or who is only 3 years older than the own daughter.

I have know Jack since his army days and also during my part-time acting with the media,I cannot believe,this had happen; anyway what ever has happen leave it behind now and move forward with your family, Please keep in mind that God has pair us up with our other half so, we have to love the choice we made no matter what, no one is perfect.I pray that your wife would be strong and for giving.
And I hope our Singapore paper would leave the family alone in this difficult time ( esp. his children and wife don’t hurt them anymore).

It looks like you are not been fair. How will you feel if it is your daughter that is involved ? Com’on, she is only 22 yeard old. It is easy to say it takes 2 hands to clap but being older (at 50), a public figure, married, husband, father,the list goes on…he only needs to exercise self control, don’t try to tackle the other party and this would not happened. The young can be gullible, especially when he wields all the power in running movie production. I don’t see any wrong for her to spill the bean. I call it payback time if she feels she has been cheated.
Also, I never come across a sane wife to close an eye when all this is happening more than 1 yr ago unless the wife has big problem with the husband.

It all depend on how you brought up your children, I have two daughters they are well behave, they too have gone thorough all this circle of life, falling in love and break up and then falling in love again, my elders is getting married soon.I have been married for 33 yrs. with only one husband we still hold hands when we go shopping we still kiss each other twice a day we still sleep in the same bed holding one another, althougt we don’t have sex any more, your teeth can bit your tongue, our finger is long and short,we are plants from 2 difference house hold, so how can we have no trouble in our life together, love is not on the mouth, it is action give and take. I agree with Maryanne. It is indeed not an easy thing to deal with. Although for those who have not had lived through such an experience could easily dish out their judgement on Jack, Irene and Wendy, I would caution such people to be very careful because the path ahead for everyone is unpredictable, especially when it concerns affairs of the heart. What seems to be a ONS ended up with a MNS and then, according to Wendy, true feelings of love (albeit seemingly only from her). I would agree that it takes 2 hands to clap. She knew from the beginning that he is married but she knowingly engaged in a relationship with him, so what gives? I am sure she had enjoyed both material and emotional gains through the 2 years and now that the relationship has gone sour (like most any normal relationship might), she blew the whistle… that is hitting below the belt, I’ll say. On the other hand, maybe both Jack and Wendy did grow to love each other, only they know. And is it wrong to love and want to be loved? Most owuld say YES based on society’s expectations, but base on human nature, sometimes it is inevitable. I do not wish to flame anyone in public but I feel my comments are justified. BohChup, I wished you had really BohChup and not posted your comments about Mary’s grammar but focused on the issue at bay. Clearly, the 2 of you are far less matured about life than Mary and instead of learning from her views, you have chosen to poke at her grammar. Enuf said… back to the topic.
While it is easy for most of the people to pass judgemental comments about the behaviours of Jack, Wendy and Irence’s reaction, I would caution people that affairs of the heart is never a easier thing to deal with and unless one has had similar experiences, it is very easy to mis-judge. The road is long for all of us, we can never predict one day, what may happen to us as well. What had apparently been a ONS progressed to MNS, and eventually, as Wendy put it, real feelings got involved (at least from her). I wouldn’t disagree that it takes both hands to clap. She knew from the start that Jack is married and she played along. I am sure she has thought about how the relationship will run and how it will end before she embarked on it, after all, she was 20 then.. clearly above the age which the courts have determined is matured enough to give concentual sex. I am certain she has had material & emotional gains from Jack and now that the relationship has soured (as might most normal relationships), she blows the whistle on Jack, and that is really hitting below the belt. If she thinks Jack has been cheating on her, then, confront Jack, why expose his enitre family of innocent people? I believe you are a Christian. Did she do anything wrong to close an eye knowing he had been going around screwing young girls ? This is tentamount to encouraging him to commit adultery. This is WRONG. Would it not be smarter to say that I forgive him for what he has done rather than said I knew all this while but I close an eye. All couples have their ups and downs and this is normal. they quarrel, they boycott , then make up and make love. When there is no big time problem with the husband, no wife would said I knew all this while and just let him have his good time.
When someone dangles a bone to a dog, there is intention to feed it or do something to it. But when a lady shows a bit of her skin, it does not mean she wants something done on her. The man, when he sees the skin, he has the freedom of choice, whether to go for it or not. But when you are a father, a public figure, a Christian, chose to go for it, this is SIN. I agree we should forgive and move on, show our graciousness, Christ died on the cross, we are saved by his grace, etc. But society’s nature is such that it will not close an eye over such an act. With regards to the 2 postings by Maryanne and Anonymous… the analogy with the bone and the dog, I don’t think is reflects the situation here. Jack did not RAPE Wendy because he could not resist the temptation of her flashing her body… it only tempted him to ‘test the water’ and she accepted the invitation. So in other words, no one forced anyone to do anything (as far as what public information tells us). With the other ladies coming forward, it only sheds light on Jack’s character and his preference for ‘fresh meat’, it does not diminish Wendy’s accountability and responsibility for what they had done. BTW, how many men out there dares to say (honestly) that they would not want a ‘SYT’ if offered? My point is, regardless what Jack’s true character is with regards to his sexual inclinations, he is not one amongst few. Come on people, admit it.. a vast majority of men out there has done or would do what he did given the chance.
As for Irene’s response through her ordeal since a year ago, please people, do not judge her and plant guilt on a woman who is already suffering for so long. You are not her, you see things at face value as reported in the media. You do not know her struggles before she came to this decision. I have experienced as well as counselled many who have been through this and i can tell you for sure, there is no easy/right/wrong choices. To debate what is Right or Wrong, then may I ask… Right or Wrong for who? Would it be right if Irene selfishly confronted her husband, risks a divorce and leave her children with a broken family right? For you clearly right, but for her that i am sure is Wrong. It is easy for us to say what is right and what is wrong because the wound is not on our flesh i.e. you are not a stakeholder. Until you are and can feel what she feels, let’s hold judgement on her. I hope that this forum and the discussion here can help people be more sympathetic to others and to learn lessons from it. There are thousands of such ‘affairs’ running their course right now, it is not unique. It is something that can happen to you, me, our spouse and our children. So judge not lest ye be judged one day in the same manner.

Maryanne, I do have to agree with most others that your point of view is really quite biased. Maybe its based on your social relationship with Jack Neo (in your very first post you have already established that you have \known Jack since his army days and also during my part-time acting with the media\), but i don’t think its fair to pin all the blame on Wendy Chong. So in defence of her, I agree that what she did was wrong, that confronting the wife was definitely not the right thing to do, but you must understand that people her age may not be able to tell the difference between love and perhaps, infatuation. You make it sound as though she could just let him turn and walk away after he had sex with her so many times, and if she actually did, she would probably be a true slut. You must also bear in mind that we belong in quite a conservative society, and a woman’s virginity is very important. He had sex with her ( you know how reckless the age group is), and whats done is done, but i suppose she does want him to take responsibility for what he did, and she probably just grew desperate because he seems all ready to walk away and pretend that he never did anything to her.
Oh and with regards to women who dress more sexily, i dont think that men are such sexual beasties that they will salivate after every \sexily-dressed\ woman they meet. Humans have intellect, and that means that supposedly, they should be able to, at a certain level, suppress their sexual desires in light of logical thinking.

I happen to chance upon this page as email exchanges have been forwarded to me regarding discussion on this matter.
And with all due respect to those in this forum, I think that too much energy and time has been wasted on debates with regards to the entire Jack Neo Saga, when there are much more important issues and world matters to worry about such as the earthquake in haiti…rise in housing prices which affects middle income people etc…..
Continuation on this debate over Jack Neo and his conduct is really not going to make any significant impact on most issues which really matter…..which may even directly affect our lives in one way or another…..so, my suggestion would be to just move on to other things more important in life
and I forgot to also mention, if anyone here really think that any of these discussions are going to significantly make a difference to Jack Neo, his family and the other women involved…….
