Kitchen Tigress Forced a Birthday Cake from OCBC Bank After Watching OCBC TV Ad

A blogger giving a big corporation a virtual kick in the behind does not happen very often in Singapore. And it came as a surprise when a certain Singaporean blogger who goes by the name Kitchen Tigress landed that kick recently.

The feisty lady had watched the recent OCBC Bank’s commercial which show the bank’s staff surprising their customer with a birthday cake. The commercial is embedded in the YouTube video below.

She decided to take the advertisement literally and went to an OCBC bank outlet on her birthday, and requested (or forced) the bank’s staff to buy her a cake. Well, she did get the cake in the end, after “five eternities”, which is shown in the photo below.

I thought this is really quite cute. She claimed in a newspaper interview that she did not do this to gain attention or as a publicity stunt.
