MM Lee Kuan Yew Visited Singapore’s Resort World Casino at Sentosa

Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is shown here paying a visit to Resorts World Sentosa one week before the opening of the RWS 1st phase on 20 January 2010.

MM LKY was hosted by Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, chairman of the Genting group which also owns the resort. They were accompanied by Mr Tan Hee Teck, chief executive officer of Resorts World Sentosa, and an entourage.

MM Lee’s press secretary Yeong Yoon Ying told the press that during this special 2-hour long visit, MM Lee toured the Universal Studios at Resorts World Sentosa and had a brief visit to the Universal Studios theme parks, Resorts World’s hotels, etc.

Many netizens were surprised that MM Lee was the first Singaporean Minister to visit the resort.
