Unfortunately for J Team and Jack Neo, Mark Lee has decided to setup his own production company, Huang Production in 2011 after his contract expires, since news of Jack Neo’s affairs became the talk of the town.
Mark Lee was reportedly very upset with Jack Neo when news of his affair with Wendy Chong came to light last week.
Some reports even suggested that Mark Lee wanted to give his long-time mentor and friend, Jack Neo, a tight slap for his indiscretions.

Did Mark Lee Betrayed Jack Neo?
Some netizens were also discussing if Mark Lee is doing the right thing by leaving J Team and Jack Neo to setup his own business. In the Chinese society, this is tantamount to betrayal as Mark Lee’s actions appear to leave Jack Neo in the lurch when the mentor needs his friends most.
Personally I think that what Mark Lee did is probably correct and not a sign of betrayal. This is because Jack Neo’s affair has significant financial impact on all his businesses and associated companies, as described by Latte Money. By splitting up their business interests, this may actually ensure business survival and preserve the marketability of all Jack Neo’s followers. In fact, I suspect that Mark Lee’s departure may have been supported by Jack Neo with the mentality that there’s no need for everyone to go down with him in the sinking ship.
