Finally, a new Queen has been found to replace the discredited ex-Miss Singapore World 2009, Ris Low.
ERM Marketing announced that the second runner up of Miss Singapore World 2009, Miss Pilar Carmelita Arlando, has been elected for the Miss World finals in South Africa.
Co-incidently, both Miss Arlando and Miss Ris Low are schoolmates. Pilar Arlando is pursuing Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management at MDIS.
The 20 years old Pilar Arlando is very excited for representing Singapore at world paegent and she hopes to win the honour for country.
Pageant organisers ERM Marketing said they picked Miss Arlando over first runner-up Miss Claire Lee due to her back injury. ERM also emphasised that Miss Arlando’s parents have been interviewed and that they reassured the organisers that she has no criminal records or probation order to keep.
