Are women in Singapore dressed too revealingly? An elderly woman was recently arrested for caning women in public for wearing shorts. STOMPer Disturbed feels she has a point, though her methods were extreme.

The elderly woman in Ang Moh Kio had been stalking women wearing shorts there, using a cane to hit them and saying that women should not wear shorts. The apparently mentally-disturbed woman was eventually subdued and arrested after a tussle on Thursday (Oct 13).

Here’s what the STOMPer wrote in an email today (Oct 17):

“I read about the elderly woman caning girls in shorts in Ang Moh Kio in today’s papers.

“Although she has no right to cane them, it is true that women these days are dressed too skimpily.

“Everywhere you go these days you see young girls in very revealing shorts that show half their butts. Their outfits can be quite unsightly, and are more appropriate worn at home rather than in public places.

“The woman may have reacted in an extreme manner, but she does have a point.”

I think many guys will disagree with these people, especially if you see ladies like the one in this photo. Comments?

    Yes, this woman should be sent to jail. She’s really ‘seow’(mad in mandarin). Well, what is the fuss about women wearing shorts?

    I’m in the opinion sexuality is embedded in our gene. There are over 6 billion people on this planet – where do you think they come from? Its time we need to relook at proper sex education.

    When you got to see it all the time, it won’t make you go insane and do anything stupid.

    Isn’t the girl in the photo has the shape lots of girl would dreamt of? If I know her, I would ask her whats her secret to keeping that fit. :p
