Taufik Batisah Says Sorry for Singapore National Anthem Mistake at F1 Race

The first Singapore Idol and homemade celebrity, Taufik Batisah, sang the Singapore’s National Anthem, Majulah Singapura, during the 2nd Singtel Formula One Grand Prix.
Unfortunately Taufik made a mistake during the performance and riled many Singaporeans with his error. What Taufik did was to sing “marilah kita berseru” which means “let us proclaim”, instead of the correct verse “marilah kita bersatu”, which means “let us unite”. To make matters worse, the performance was viewed on TV by millions of people all over the world.
Taufik had reportedly said that he is very sorry for making the error and he hopes that Singaporeans will forgive him for the ‘honest mistake’.
Wayang Times recommend that he learn from this instructional video to the Singapore National Anthem.
