In a startling turn of events, the editor behind the popular Singapore -based weblog Wayang Times.com said that she is ready to retire from blogging. Instead she will turn her efforts to launching the first print magazine that began its life as a free online blog. The new magazine will also be called Wayang Times.

“Print is where the money is at currently,” Wayang Times’ editor said. “How many time can you come online to read a free blog. It gets tiring after awhile. I am looking to give my loyal readers something tangible, which they can hold in their hands. I want to touch, and be touched.”

“I also believe that with print, we will be able to reach out to more people and establish our name as a premium magazine.”

This is fun. And it is fake. Someone created this newspaper snippet generator. You can use it to write your own headline and news story and get it published instantly. Lol. So the above is my own fake news: “Wayang Times to Debut New Magazine”. As if. Though I would not mind if any investors would like to buy Wayang Times for a nice sum from me. After all, according to “How Much Is Your Blog Worth?”, Wayang Times is worth almost S$10,000! I can sure have a nice honeymoon with this sum of cash!

In the mean time, create your own fake news and tag it “fake newspaper” here.
