Ah Lians, defined as Singaporean or Malaysian-type of bimbos, can be quite easily identified. Often from afar, you will be able to notice their rather colourful and what they think is fashionable clothings. When you are near them, you may notice their colourful and too-thick-for-their-age makeup, occassional tattoos, and cigarettes breath. And when they start to speak, you may notice the rather funny Hokkien-accented English/Mandarin. Some guys may actually find them attractive.

Will you dare to approach these Ah Lians if you chance upon them on the streets?

But be careful though. You may not want to bump into their gang of Ah Beng boyfriends. Ah Beng = Male counterpart of Ah Lians. Try dating the Ah Lians and the Ah Bengs may make a date with you to give you a piece of their mind.

They don’t see too much ah lian to me, the don’t wear thick make up, I don’t see any tattoos. Maybe they’re ah lian wannabes :)

Like, why not? They’re quite good looking what~ Acually, ah lians or ah bengs they’re all the same as anyone you see on the streets. I see no reasons to discriminate against them or to even start feeling bias at all. If anyone questions why they dress and act differently from others, then I beg the question of why should they dress and act like others? Actually I think some put on make up and dress better than the studious ones. Just my thoughts…
