Zhang Ziyi and David Gan Rejected by Service Staff in a Hilton Hotel’s Branded Shop in Singapore’s Orchard Road

It was reported that recently, Zhang Ziyi was in Singapore and met up with her long-time friend and famous hairstylist, David Gan. They went on a shopping spree along the famous Singapore’s shopping street, Orchard Road, and bought many things from the various branded stores in Hilton Hotel.

At about 6pm in the evening, they wanted to enter one of the shop to take a look but was surprised when a service staff of the branded shop decided to stop them. The reason: it is closing time. This infuriated David Gan as he saw that there were still customers within the shop. David Gan mentioned that he was angry not because the service staff did not recognise or give preferential treatment to Zhang Ziyi who is an international superstar. He was upset because that staff’s inflexible attitude affects the reputation of Singapore’s service industry. He mentioned in his blog that all this while, Zhang Ziyi was very gracious and did not appear upset.

The next day, they went back to the same shop in Hilton Hotel to buy the branded goods they wanted.

    Celebrity or no celebrity, shop hours need to be observed.please be considerate to our service providers.status or fame dont count.the store did the right thing.Way to go…Cheers!!!

    Pls get our attitude right. Whether there are still customers in the shop, doesnt mean u can just bust in when are told closing time. If every customer think like wise, I think all the shop in Orchard Rd can only closed when there are no customer in the shop past closing time.
